This website wins a national award!
This website has won a prestigious award in the Air Cadet Media and Communication Awards – the MACA’s. The judges said that the website stood out from the crowd not only for it’s creative, corporate look and feel but also for the innovative graphic tools and use of an active news area together with first-class navigation.
The website is a real team effort with the core Webmaster team of Squadron Leader Nick Foy and Civilian Instructor Mark Gray backed up by the Wing Media & Communication Team who provide content for the news area together with Podcasts. The site also contains an innovative Squadron Finder with individual pages for each of the 27 Squadrons in Berkshire and Oxfordshire, Podcasts, RSS Feeds and an overview of the activities on offer to the cadets.
A Wing spokesperson said “Thames Valley Wing have been constant performers in the MACA’s with awards in each of the last 3 competitions. However, this accolade is the award we wanted most as it recognises the huge efforts we make towards the way the public see us as a Wing”.
