The Wing Facebook page, Thames Valley Air Cadets, now has over 445 Fans from across the globe and the numbers are increasing everyday!
The site, which has been live for over a year, has been running as a trial to see what interest there is amongst the cadets, staff and supporters of Thames Valley Wing and has been a resounding success. Currently, anyone can post information or photographs onto the site, which is updated almost daily and managed by the Wing Media Team.
Wing Media Officer, Sqn Ldr Mark Trevena, takes up the story “when we set up this site we were looking at somewhere to share photographs of Wing events so that they could be easily accessed by the cadets – but the Thames Valley Air Cadets site has offered so much more. Although we concentrate on Wing activities, we also cover the entire RAF family in Oxfordshire and Berkshire”. He continued “Wherever possible we have tried to compliment our main www.aircadets.tv website but on occasions we have been able to cover much more local stories in addition to featuring news direct from the cadets which can be really exciting”.
We now include news and gallery feeds direct from our Facebook page on the homepage of www.aircadets.tv.
Facebook is in use right across the armed forces including official site for the RAF, Air Cadets, Commandant Air Cadets and South-West Region.
