Sgt C Dueck of 2402 Burghfield Squadron, has been selected from 90 cadets to go forward for semi-final selection, in the next round of the Duke of Westminster Awards.
The competition to become one of the nine national finalists and overall winner is tough, which is why being in the final nine is so highly prized.
The team at CVQO faces a difficult task each year choosing who, from the many nominations, should progress through to the second stage and then on to the arduous selection event in Somerset.
All the cadets at Burghfield will be encouraging and supporting Sgt Dueck to do well and be one of the nine finalists.
