Perfect 10 Online Checker

Each year you are in the Corps you should be faced with new opportunities based around those 10 key activities for you to have a go at.

What those challenges are, will depend upon your age and what stage of the syllabus you are at.

These challenges should go on through your entire ATC career. If you stay until you are 18 you should be able to have taken part at some level in all 10 areas- The Perfect 10!

Which classification have you reached?

You will take exams towards your BTEC in Aviation Studies. Click on the appropriate image. Your progress will be shown at the bottom. Click on the progress bar to return to that point and change your response to a question.

You haven't completed any classifications.

You have completed your first class and are now working towards your leading.

You have completed the leading exam.

You have completed the senior exam.

You have completed the Master Air Cadet exam (Staff Pt. 1) and have now received your BTEC in Aviation Studies and received the Master Air Cadet badge

You have completed an a Method of Instruction course and been assessed.

How many camps have you attended?

You can attend Easter, Summer and Autumn Camps at RAF stations around the UK and, when you are older, overseas.

You should have the opportunity of about 1 flight in a Grob Tutor aircraft each year of your cadet service. In Thames Valley Wing we fly from 6 AEF at RAF Benson.

How much Gliding have you undertaken with the ATC?

You should have the opportunity of flying in a Volunteer Gliding School Glider on a Gliding Induction Course (GIC) at least every other year... When you get to 16 you can also undertake a Gliding Scholarship (GS) and end up flying solo.

You have not yet been gliding with the ATC.

You have had your first GIC flight.

You have had two GIC flights.

You have had three GIC flights.

You have undertaken you gliding scholarship and have flown solo for the first time.

How much adventure training activity have you done with the ATC (not including D of E expeditions)?

Adventure training includes many activities in the ATC... including Rock Climbing, Mountain Biking, Hiking, Cannoning and Sailing. You can participate in such activities with your squadron, nationally or with the Wing at an AT camp (like Pirbright, formally Browndown).

You have not yet undertaken any AT activity except maybe D of E practices or expeditions.

You have undertaken some adventure training in the TVW area or one like it.

You have undertaken adventure training in more challenging territory (such as the peak district).

You have successfully passed assessments to make you a qualified AT leader or instructor (a BELA, ML, SPL or another national body qualification).
